Robert Hur, the special prosecutor charged with investigating classified documents that Joe Biden had in his possession, recommends against prosecuting the president due to his declining intellectual faculties. He describes him in particular as a “nice old man with a bad memory”.
Although he does not explicitly state that Biden is senile, the symptoms Hur describes leave little room for interpretation. His report had the effect of a bomb on a global scale.
Impeachment
But what is appalling is not so much the devastating conclusions of the report, but that it took so many years for someone to finally dare to say out loud what has been blatantly obvious for a long time.
Since the 2020 election campaign, Mr. Biden has shown worrying and repetitive signs of mental confusion. Even a short compilation of his indecipherable ramblings and mutterings is enough to convince him that he is unfit to govern.
But whatever. Those struck by willful blindness or who maintain the open secret are legion.
Today, while the king is naked, his removal should be on the agenda. But that’s not the case.
Pro-Biden people continue to resort to formidable intellectual contortions to mitigate the severity of the president’s cognitive deficit and justify that he remains one of the most powerful men in the world.
That says a lot, not about the president, but about the vice-president, Kamala Harris! Because if Biden is impeached, the Constitution provides that Mrs. Harris automatically replaces him.
Emptiness
However, by his grotesque declarations and his bursts of laughter as strange as they were inappropriate, Mme Harris has proven his vacuity and we easily understand his historical unpopularity.
Choosing between Biden and Harris is like choosing between the plague and cholera. Neither has the intellectual faculties to occupy the Oval Office. But then, a question arises: who really governs the United States?
