In his decision, Judge Andrew Carter said no conditions reduced the risk of tampering or obstruction of witnesses and victims, according to CNN.
Marc Agnifilo, the music mogul’s attorney, has appealed Judge Robyn Tarnofsky’s decision to detain the 54-year-old, ABC News reported.
He therefore failed to appeal the decision. His bail was refused.
The man had tried for the first time on Tuesday to be released, but the judge had also refused this request.
In a letter sent to the court, the lawyer said Diddy is “extremely reliable” and should be released on $50 million bail.
“Sean Combs has never avoided or run away from problems in his life, and he won’t start now,” he argued.
The bail, which is expected to be secured by his $48 million Miami home, is said to be co-signed by Combs, his mother, his sister, his three adult sons and the mothers of two of his daughters.
The producer is also reportedly trying to sell his private plane. His lawyer is said to have his passport and that of five of his relatives in his possession.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is accused of running an enterprise based on sexual exploitation, forced labor, kidnapping, arson and other crimes, according to the indictment seen by ABC News.
Prosecutors say the man “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to satisfy his sexual needs, protect his reputation and hide his actions” from 2008 to the present.
He is described by his alleged victims as a violent sexual predator, who used alcohol and drugs to gain their submission.
Known as “Puff Daddy,” “P. Diddy,” “Diddy” and many others, he has established himself as a hip-hop icon from the East Coast. He has produced the likes of Notorious B.I.G., a New York rap legend who was murdered in 1997, and Mary J. Blige. His album No Way Out received the Grammy for Best Rap Album in 1997.
