(New York) Donald Trump on Sunday described as an “affront to the greatness of America” the concert, given at halftime of the Super Bowl, by the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, who had nevertheless avoided mentioning the American president or his migration policy during his performance.

“No one understands a word this guy says,” wrote the American head of state on his Truth Social network, a few minutes after the end of the show, Bad Bunny singing and speaking almost exclusively in Spanish, spoken by more than 41 million people in the United States, according to official figures.
“The Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely dismal, one of the worst ever! It is absurd, an affront to the greatness of America, and it in no way reflects our values of success, creativity and excellence,” wrote Donald Trump, who also considered that the artist’s choreography was “repugnant, especially for young children watching the show from across the United States and around the world.”
“This “show” is a real slap in the face for our country (…) and yet it will receive excellent reviews from the media who spread false information, because they have no idea of what is happening in the real world,” added the American president.
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, performed at the Super Bowl a week after winning the Grammy award for album of the year.
After his performance alongside artists like Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, the Puerto Rican singer, dressed all in white, carried an oval balloon with the words: “Together we are America.”
At the end of the concert, flags from all over the American continent were displayed on stage while the giant screen of the Santa Clara stadium displayed: “only love is stronger than hate”.
