A mother was charged and arrested Monday in Memphis for negligence after an Instagram post that showed her 5-year-old daughter waxing the intimate areas of adult clients.
Jasmine Moss, 30, posted the photos herself on her professional Instagram account, the outlet reported Commercial Appeal. Following the post, the Memphis Police Department received a series of complaints from residents on February 15.
The police therefore opened an investigation jointly with the children’s service.
Residents were also shocked by the legend, since the mother specified that her child had participated in more than 24 adult hair removals in more than eight hours, according to the affidavit.
The Instagram post has since been deleted and police have asked users not to upload it or share the images.
The warrant was issued on Friday and the arrest was made on Monday. The mother remained in jail Wednesday.
