An American baker who allegedly lost the main diamond from her wedding ring in a batch of cookies on Friday was reportedly heavily criticized for not wearing gloves, after an appeal to the public to try to find the precious stone.
“My diamond is missing. My heart is beyond broken. I wore it for 36 years. (…) I’m sorry if you find it, but I don’t take my ring off for anything,” lamented Dawn “Sis” Monroe, on the Facebook page of her bakery Sis’ Sweets Cookies and Cafe, according to this as reported by the “New York Post”.
Last Friday, the owner of the small Kansas bakery called on her customers to try to find the main precious stone of her wedding ring, estimated to be worth US$4,000, which may have fallen into the dough. raw biscuit during preparation.
It was after mixing the ingredients for batches of chocolate chip, sugar and peanut butter cookies that the baker realized the disappearance of the object, dear to her heart.

While several Internet users were quick to offer their support to the woman, some of them pointed out that she did not wear gloves while handling the food – a measure that would not be mandatory for products that must be cooked , according to Kansas state health codes, she reportedly recalled.
She nevertheless said that the establishment would have used 19 cases of gloves last year, which represents 19,000 gloves, “those of you who are concerned about the use of gloves in our bakery”, we read on Facebook.
