At the heart of the Republican and Democratic primaries, Richard Latendresse crossed the United States to try to offer the best possible coverage of the event, but this does not seem to have been appreciated by everyone.
A viewer took the trouble to write to the host of the Contextes show to criticize his work. She mentions that he was biased in his interventions to the detriment of President Donald Trump.
The journalist and host decided to present the comment on his show and respond to this viewer.

“Just seeing the funeral face of LCN correspondent Richard Latendresse, we understood last night that Mr. Trump is still a force to be taken very seriously. Poor Latendresse was undoubtedly praying for a miracle; naive and gullible, he truly believes that the survival of democracy is at stake and that Joe Biden is its savior. China-style corruption, Russian-style corruption, American-style corruption. Crooked politicians on both sides of the Senate, a politicized and partisan justice system. The media? Biased and dishonest, like in China, like in Russia,” we read in his comment.
“My poor Micheline, you live in a dark and wicked world. Stop watching Fox News and listening to the former Republican president. Look at LCN instead,” quips the host of “Contexts”.
“There are good people in politics, in the justice system and even in the media,” he continues.
On a more serious note, the host defends his work over the past few weeks.
“Despite what you have understood, I am not biased. It is certain that I preferred political candidates who tell the truth, who do not try to evade taxes, who do not insult other candidates, who show a little more respect towards people who are different from us and who respect women a little more. Candidates who propose a better future for everyone and not just for themselves. In conclusion, (candidates) who when they lose, admit it and run again at the next opportunity,” underlines the correspondent in the United States.
Richard Latendresse even ends by mentioning that he is not at all against President Donald Trump, since he makes journalistic work more important and entertaining.
“Between you and me, I have nothing against Trump. On the contrary, covering it, as a journalist, is like going to see the clowns at the circus and I get paid extra for that. So whatever, I’m quite happy that he’s continuing,” he said.
Don’t miss the show “Contextes” with Richard Latendresse from Monday to Thursday at 8 p.m.
