In 2023, the New York Post reported that Virginia Giuffre had concluded an agreement “estimated at several million” with an editor whose identity was not revealed. Mme Guffre had repeatedly said that in the early 2000s, when she was a teenager, she had been involved in the sex trafficking network of Jeffrey Epstein and exploited by Prince Andrew and other influential men. Epstein was found dead in a New York prison cell in 2019, in what investigators qualified suicide. His former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was sentenced at the end of 2021 for sex trafficking and other charges.

Prince Andrew had denied the allegations of the complainant. In 2022, Virginia Giuffre and entered into her an amicable agreement after she continued him for sexual assault.

His name continued to make the headlines, even after his death. In July, President Donald Trump told journalists that Jeffrey Epstein had “stolen” Virginia Giuffre in Mar-A-Lago, her private club in Florida where she used to work. She said she was approached by Maxwell and hired as a masseuse for Epstein. Ghislaine Maxwell denied the allegations of Virginia Giuffre.

Mr. Doughty refused to provide details on Mr. Epstein’s partners presented in Nobody’s Girlbut confirmed that Mme Giuffre had formulated “no allegation of abuse against Trump”, which continues to answer questions about Mr. Epstein, the fallen financier and his former friend.

New “intimate and disturbing” details

Alfred A. Knopf explained that the book contains “new intimate, disturbing and heartbreaking details on its relationship with Epstein, Mme Maxwell and their many famous friends, including Prince Andrew, of whom she speaks publicly for the first time since their amicable agreement in 2022 ”.

Jordan Pavlin, publisher and editor -in -chief of Alfred A. Knopf, qualified Nobody’s Girl “Brutal and shocking” and “story of a fierce spirit fighting to free oneself”.

The relationship of Mme Giuffre with Mr. Epstein is well documented, although his stories have been disputed. She had admitted to being mistaken in the details, errors which she attributed to her attempt to remember events that occurred years ago. In 2022, she abandoned the accusations against Alan Dershowitz, declaring in a statement of the time that she may have “made a mistake by identifying” the famous lawyer as an aggressor.

“” Nobody’s Girl has been the subject of a rigorous verification of the facts and an in-depth legal verification, ”read a press release from Alfred A. Knopf.

Amy Wallace, co -author of her memoirs, is a journalist awarded for magazines and newspapers, whose articles were published in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Timesamong others. She also collaborated on two previous books, Creativity, Inc., of the co -founder of Pixar, Ed Catmull, and HOT SEATfrom the former CEO of General Electric Jeff Immell.
