Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa issued a decision appointing Abdel -Qader Al -Huhair as ruler of the Central Bank of Syria to succeed Maysa Sabreen, who took over the position after the fall of Bashar al -Assad’s regime last December.

The appointment of exclusivity comes a few weeks after the bank’s ruling, Maysa Sabreen, submitted her resignation from the position that she had assumed less than 3 months ago.

The exchange rate of the Syrian pound against the dollar fell today, Monday, in the parallel market transactions in the Syrian cities, while the Central Bank of Syria continued to fix the currency exchange rate in official transactions.
