An American couple and their dogs have been saved after a car crashed into their home in Phoenix, Arizona.
The accident happened in Phoenix when a Ford Mustang drove through the living room of the home as the couple was about to sit down to eat, according to the New York Post Tuesday.
Marcus Holmberg and Sabrina Rivera were in the living room with three of their four dogs when an out-of-control Mustang crashed through the wall of the residence, throwing the couple backward.
The young woman sitting on the sofa closest to the wall was violently hit by the vehicle, which almost completely demolished the wall, causing significant damage to the building, but the couple suffered only minor injuries.
“It was like a bomb went off,” Marcus Holmberg told 12News, adding that the car “came in like a rocket and there it was,” adding, “It happened really fast. It was so explosive.”
The couple’s three dogs, which were in the living room at the time of the accident, were not injured, while the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man who was intoxicated, was arrested, according to the New York Post.
