A 16-year-old American teenager almost lost his life after being shocked by an electric shock between his metal collar and the prongs of an extension cord.
“He said it all happened in a matter of seconds and he visibly saw sparks coming out of his neck,” the Oklahoma teenager’s mother told the “New York Post.”
While in bed, young Rayce wanted to check if his phone was charging when something fell off the bed, before the necklace came into contact with the electrical circuit.
“As everything was made of metal, there was a complete circuit around his neck,” continued the 38-year-old woman who alerted the emergency services after the widespread smell of burning, while “the whole house smelled of hair and the skin burned.
Returning from a long way away, the young teenager with 4th degree burns found himself with scars on his chin and collarbone, to the point where doctors suggested he do a skin graft, but the young patient reportedly refused.
The mother of six now wants to call on the public to be careful with electrical appliances, saying she is aware that her son could “easily have died that night”, according to the American media.
