Sudanese Minister of Investment and Development called on Ahlam Madani Mahdi Sabri to benefit from Turkish experiences to invest in her country and the African continent.
Today, Wednesday, the activities of the 12th Turkish -African Business Forum were launched in Istanbul, Turkey, and the forum continues for two days, and it includes on its second day, the Turkish Sudanese Business Forum.
Enhancing economic and investment partnership
The Sudanese Minister confirmed during the forum that the latter strengthens the economic partnership between Türkiye and Sudan, praising the cooperation of the two countries and their support for the efforts of development and stability.
She emphasized that Sudan supports this partnership completely and will achieve its noble goals.
The Minister added – according to what Anatolia reported – that this forum represents an important event that brings together African and Turkish governments, institutions and investors, and meets Africa’s ambitions in the regional and global economy.
Multiple investment opportunities
Sabri explained that the private sector in Africa contributes only 10% to infrastructure projects, while the continent needs 3 trillion dollars to develop infrastructure, which puts the greatest burden on African financing institutions, and called on Turkish investors to benefit from these opportunities.
She pointed to the importance of benefiting from the experience of this country in the field of agricultural research, as Türkiye is at the forefront of the countries producing grains and agricultural products. It also highlighted the Turkish experience in industry, software, oil and small industries, stressing that it could be a role model in Africa.
The minister stated that Sudan is looking to benefit from Türkiye’s experiences in free agricultural areas.
Sabri also indicated that there are many joint investment opportunities in sectors such as industry, food and agricultural products, steel, natural gas, solar energy, granite and marble materials, animal production, manufacturing industries, and wood industry.
The activities of the forum were launched under the slogan “Establishing a solid and sustainable future cooperation” with 1500 participation from 54 African countries and 300 participants from 45 Turkish states. The forum includes discussion sessions and a special exhibition, as well as bilateral meetings between the participants.
