The exchange rate of the Syrian pound against the dollar increased today, Tuesday, in the parallel market in the Syrian cities, while the Central Bank of Syria reduced the exchange rate in official transactions.

  • The Syrian pound in Damascus, Aleppo and Idlib rose to 9700 pounds against the dollar from 10 thousand and 600 pounds when purchasing, and to 10 thousand pounds from 10 thousand and 700 pounds upon sale.
  • In Hasaka The exchange rate of the lira when purchasing increased to 9900 pounds from 11 thousand pounds, and at the sale increased to 10 thousand pounds from 11 thousand and 100 pounds.

The Central Bank of Syria reduced the exchange rate of the Syrian lira in official transactions to 11 thousand pounds when purchasing from 12 thousand, and to 11 thousand and 110 pounds from 12 thousand and 120 pounds upon sale, according to the bulletin issued this morning Tuesday.

As for the euro, the central set the purchase price of 12 thousand and 227 pounds, and the sale is 12 thousand and 349 pounds.

Factors affecting the exchange rate of the Syrian lira

  • Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa issued a decree to cancel all the reserve reservation decisions issued during the period between 2012 and 2024, which affected the property of thousands of Syrian citizens.
