(New York) A man drove his car into the entrance to a building of the Orthodox Jewish community in New York on Wednesday evening, without causing any injuries, before being arrested, we learned from a police source.

Police said they were mobilized by a phone call indicating that a car had collided with the building housing the world headquarters of the Lubavitch movement in Brooklyn.
Arriving on scene, she arrested the driver and took him into custody. No one was injured according to the same source, who is unaware at this stage of the suspect’s motivations.
In several videos published on social networks, we see a car violently hitting the doors of the building. Several times the driver backs up, then rushes forward again.
In the same images, we then see him get out of the vehicle and be arrested without resistance when the police arrive.
In the evening, a large group of Orthodox Jews, numerous in this part of the city, gathered near the scene.
This incident comes against a backdrop of concern among the Jewish community of New York, the largest in the United States, over the increase in anti-Semitic acts in the country.
“Any threat targeting a Jewish institution or place of worship must be taken seriously. Anti-Semitism has no place in our city, and any violence or intimidation against New York Jews is unacceptable,” city mayor Zohran Mamdani reacted on X.
