(Washington) Former vice-president and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris relaunched one of her campaign accounts on X on Thursday, with the aim of mobilizing young people, which immediately earned her mockery from the White House.

“I’m really excited about this,” she said in a short video introducing the account now called @headquarters_67 – two numbers well-known to younger internet users.

The account had remained inactive since November 5, 2024, the date of the presidential election won by Donald Trump.

The idea, according to Kamala Harris, is to provide information to American youth and to highlight elected officials and figures from civil society.

“Stay mobilized,” concluded the Californian, an injunction which should further fuel speculation about a new candidacy for the 2028 presidential election.

Several polls put her in the lead among possible candidates for a Democratic primary, ahead of California Governor Gavin Newsom, for example.

Donald Trump’s camp immediately attacked this return on social networks.

“Putting Kamala forward is really what the Democrats need,” said White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson, also on X.

“Oh, do you want to suffer again? “, asked the hosts of an account associated with the American president, Trump War Room, on Wednesday, when Kamala Harris’ account published a cryptic message suggesting that he would soon return to service.

Kamala Harris has been traveling the United States for several months to talk about her book 107 daysthe duration of his campaign launched in disaster after the withdrawal of Joe Biden on July 21, 2024.

The first female vice-president of the United States settles scores with the former president and his entourage.

She recently announced that her promotional tour would continue into 2026, which was interpreted by several commentators as a prelude to a new attempt to win the White House.
