A young Arkansas couple was arrested after trying to sell their two-month-old baby for a check for US$1,000 and a case of six beers.
Darien Urban, 21, and Shalene Ehlers, 20, the baby’s parents, were arrested Sept. 21 after a Benton County campground manager contacted the local sheriff’s department to report the shameful transaction .
“We will not change your mind and we will never contact you again,” allegedly promised the couple who signed an “adoption contract” granting custody of the baby to a certain Cody Martin with a disclaimer. , CBS affiliate WREG reported.
