A young boy in Alabama was killed while getting a haircut last week.
The grandmother of 5-year-old Brandon Jamal Nation III took him to a home in Bessemer, Alabama, for a haircut on the morning of January 7, according to AL.com.
While they were outside, a man fired several shots toward the house, killing the boy and seriously injuring the hairdresser.
“We know someone who wasn’t in the house fired shots toward the house,” Detective Justin Burmeister said.
“Our hearts go out to the family during this incredibly difficult time,” said Burmeister, who says he is working tirelessly to solve this case.
According to police, two suspects were arrested and a third was wanted for his alleged role in the shooting, local media WBMA reported. Kendrick O’Neal, 26, and Tatyonna Estacia Smith, 24, have been charged with murder and attempted murder. Meanwhile, Kedarrius Odell Mack, 25, was wanted on the same charges. Authorities attempted to locate Mack, but he turned himself in Friday.
