(Washington) If Donald Trump, the oldest president ever elected in the United States, closes his eyes during meetings with his secretaries, it’s not because he’s asleep, it’s because he’s bored. At least, that’s what he assured Thursday.

“People said, ‘He turned a blind eye!’ Look, it was pretty boring, to be honest,” the 79-year-old billionaire said, referring to a meeting in August that lasted more than three hours and during which he was seen with his eyelids lowered.
“It was a bit boring,” he repeated about this marathon event, during which the secretaries had taken turns showering him with praise, before he answered several questions from the journalists present.
His opponents immediately assured that he had dozed off at times.
On Thursday, Donald Trump convened his government for the tenth time since returning to power, but the live-streamed meeting only lasted about an hour.
And this time the president dismissed the press without answering any questions.

Among the secretaries who remained silent Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, whose Democratic opposition is demanding the departure after the death of two demonstrators killed by federal agents in Minneapolis since the beginning of January.
The question of vigor is very sensitive for the Republican president, who presents himself as the antithesis of his Democratic predecessor Joe Biden, described as a senile old man.
Donald Trump, much more active in the media than his predecessor, is however also the subject of questions about his health, for example about the bruises that appeared several times on his right hand and at least once on his left hand.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journalthe US president said the bruises were the result of taking a daily dose of 325 milligrams of aspirin, considered high by experts, adding that his doctors would prefer he take a “smaller” pill.
“They say that aspirin thins the blood and I don’t want my heart pumping thick blood,” Donald Trump said during this interview.
