(Nashua) An armed man opened fire on Saturday in a country club in New Hampshire, killing a person and injuring “several others,” said the authorities.
The Attorney General John Formella and the Nashua Police Manager Kevin Rourke said that the person who died at Sky Meadow Country Club of Nashua was an adult man.
The authorities said that the suspect, who was arrested at the scene, was also an adult man, and that previous information reporting two shooters was wrong. Police said there was no more danger to the public.
Information on the state of injured victims was not immediately available.
An aerial video from WMUR-TV has shown several emergency teams going to the scene.
The American representative Maggie Goodlander said in a statement that she “followed closely the tragic information concerning the shooting this evening at the Sky Meadow Country Club of Nashua” and that her thoughts went to the victims, their families and the whole community.
Nashua is approximately 70 kilometers northwest of Boston, just on the other side of the Massachusetts border.
