(Washington) President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the US military had led his third deadly strike against an alleged drug trafficking this month.
In a publication on social networks, the president indicated that the strike had killed three people and aimed at a ship “affiliated with an designated terrorist organization engaging in drug trafficking in the USSOUTHCOM responsibility area”.

He did not provide more precise details on the shot location. The White House and the Pentagon did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
“The intelligence services confirmed that the ship trafficked with narcotics and borrowed a passage known for drug trafficking, on the way to poison Americans,” said Trump in his publication.
Trump announced that the US military had shot against a boat suspected of transporting drugs from Venezuela. This strike also killed three people on board.
This intervention followed a military strike led on September 2 against what the Trump administration presented as an outboard carrying drugs, which left 11 dead. The tenant of the White House said that the boat was operated by the Gang Tren in Aragua, ranked earlier this year by the United States as a foreign terrorist organization.
The Trump administration justified this military intervention by the need for climbing to stem the flow of drugs entering into the United States.
Several senators, democrats and certain Republicans, as well as human rights groups, have however questioned the legality of Donald Trump’s action. They see it as a potential abuse of executive power, especially because the army has been used for ordering order.
