(New York) New York commemorates Thursday the attacks of September 11, 2001, a serious and usually consensual birthday marked this year by the fratricidal campaign which opposes several Democrats for the town hall.
In Ground Zero, where the World Trade Center twin tricks were stood in the past, relatives of the 3000 victims of the drama began to participate in the long ceremony for reading the names of all the dead, as now on each anniversary.
From the twilight, two beams of light will rise in the sky to symbolize the twin towers, illuminating the south of Manhattan until dawn. Free concerts will be held in various public spaces, ceremonies in the fire station – 39 of them have lost their lives in one year from the consequences of diseases related to the drama.
Donald Trump does not plan to participate in the ceremonies in New York, but will be present in the evening in a baseball match at the Yankee Stadium. His vice-president JD Vance canceled his arrival at Ground Zero to go to Utah, to meet the family of Charlie Kirk, conservative influencer assassinated on Wednesday.
At the start of the morning, several candidates for New York town hall took place among the officials present at the first celebrations alongside Rudy Giuliani, who led the city during the attacks, the torso surrounded by a corset – he was recently injured in a serious traffic accident.

The ceremony is the occasion for a short truce in the harsh battle in progress for the town hall.
