(Washington) For Donald Trump, politics is a permanent show: he broke his longest live intervention on TV on Tuesday, with a cabinet that praised for more than three hours “the biggest” president of the American history.
The republican billionaire, who loves nothing less than praise and flattery, brought together his entire government in the hall of the White House.
The former star of reality TV and ex-Magnat of New York real estate opened the meeting in front of a camera of cameras at 12:11 pm and struck the end of the exercise exactly three hours and 16 minutes later, under thanks, smiles and applause.
After a 45-minute self-satisfaction monologue on his inner, security, economic and diplomatic assessment since January 20, Donald Trump gave the floor to each and each of the thirty men and women sitting so far.
Its secretaries, of the faithful, were more obsequious than the other.
“It is the best of governments that works for the greatest presidents,” said the secretary of commerce, Howard Lungick, in unison with his colleagues.
“The experience of my life”
“And I just want to say thank you. Working for you, Mr. President, is the best experience of my life, ”added the businessman in front of a visibly delighted president.

President Trump, his defense secretary Pete Hegseth and his trade secretary Howard Lune
His special emissary for Ukraine and Russia, as well as for the Middle East, the property developer Steve Witkoff went even further by speaking of the war in the Gaza Strip.
“While we provide food and help (…) People applauded you (…) and I don’t think you were properly rewarded for this,” said Witkoff.
So, he continued before its president with angels, “there is only one thing I wish: that the Nobel Committee (of Peace) realizes that you are the only and best candidate for this Nobel Prize”.
“Your success changes the situation in today’s world,” concluded Mr. Witkoff with applause.
The 79-year-old American president was a beast for ten years in the electoral campaign, but his presidential interventions live from the White House are more and longer and disjointed.
The @FactBasefed verification site on X calculated before the end of the council: “It is the longest intervention on TV of Donald Trump in the White House or in the countryside” and “It is even the longest video of the White House on YouTube if we go back to (President Barack) Obama” (2009-2017).
“Large TV moment”
When he had verbally assaulted the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky on February 28 in the oval office – a scene that had gone around the world – Donald Trump was delighted with a “big television moment”.
This time, he praised “something that had never been done before (…) something really good about what we do and what we are: an open government”.
Photographers, sound takers and journalists, who were able to ask about a few questions at the end, have remained more than three hours standing behind the members of the cabinet.

In a lighter tone, Donald Trump teased his leader in diplomacy Marco Rubio (left), which he had been beaten in the primaries of the Republican party before the 2016 presidential election.
Asked about the war in Ukraine and the apparent bogging up of the diplomatic process with Russia, he criticized in hollow Moscow and Kyiv: “All that is posture, these are bullshit”.
In a lighter tone, Donald Trump teased his chief of diplomacy Marco Rubio, whom he had dryly beaten in the primaries of the Republican Party before the 2016 presidential election.
“Marco, I think you were really born for this job (as a secretary), you should never compete in another position,” he told him all smiles, giving him a friendly tape, under the laughter of the audience.
As for the general prosecutor of the United States Pam Bondi, “I will never say that she is magnificent because it would be the end of my political career,” joked the president, who even congratulated the pop star Taylor Swift for his next marriage to the American footballer Travis Kelce when he had said several times “to hate”.
