Images captured by the American Institute of Geophysics (USGS) show the eruption of one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the Kīlauea in the Hawaii archipelago.
The lava column reaches for the moment 45 meters high, according to the USGS.
It was the 28th episode of the current eruption, which started on December 23, 2024. Most of the episodes lasted a day or less.
The Kīlauea has erupted almost continuously since 1983. It is one of the six active volcanoes of Hawaii, notably the largest in the world.
