Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, who occupy the positions of Director and Deputy Director of the FBI respectively, become “deep state hostages”?

Posted at 7:00 a.m.

This is the astonishing question that last week asked the conservative organization Judicial Watch, which has been fighting for years against the federal government and the widespread corruption that it accuses it of maintaining.

This question highlights an unexpected fact, namely the dissatisfaction of many supporters of the Maga movement and the theorists of the conspiracy with regard to these two irreducible allies of the president. The latter had to help reform the FBI and reveal its secrets.

However, almost five months after the start of Donald Trump’s second term, they are accused of camouflaging them.

“The conservative initiates are alarmed by the growing signs indicating that Patel and Bongino have been taken hostage by the consensus of the deep state and fail to make significant changes to the FBI,” wrote Micah Morrison, chief investigation reporter of Judicial Watch, in a criticism published by the organization last Wednesday.

Judicial Watch, whose attacks on Hillary Clinton, Robert Mueller and Hunter Biden, among others, were praised by Donald Trump, is particularly concerned about the management of Jeffrey Epstein files by the FBI. The organization joins on this point the criticisms formulated by the complosphere towards Kash Patel and Dan Bongino.

Bongino and the Epstein case

These criticisms are all the more astonishing since Dan Bongino played a leading role in the dissemination of conspiratorial theses about the pedocriminal found hanging in his cell in New York as he approved his trial. There is no shortage of examples of this role.

During an episode of his Balado show broadcast on January 4, 2024, Bongino said he was certain at “100 %” that Jeffrey Epstein had been killed “because he earned his life by making people sing”.

“I am amazed to see how few people make the link between the two things,” he added.

Two weeks before his appointment by Donald Trump, Bongino had returned to Jeffrey Epstein’s subject, reporting a journalist’s confidences on the existence of videos used by the New York financier to blackmail powerful people. In the process, he mentioned allegations concerning Bill Clinton.

“I will never drop this story,” he said on February 10.

However, during a common interview granted to Fox News on May 18, Dan Bongino and Kash Patel swore that the Clinton or any other assassin in the balance of Democrats had nothing in the death of Jeffrey Epstein.

“He committed suicide. I saw the whole file. He committed suicide, “the FBI number two told host Maria Bartiromo.

The number one has abounded in the same direction, arousing an uproar among some supporters of Donald Trump and all the theorists of the conspiracy. The latter had already been scalded at the end of February by the dissemination of the “phase 1” of the Jeffrey Epstein documents, finding almost no new information there.

Legal action

Since then, Judicial Watch has repeatedly asked the FBI to give it all the Epstein documents based on the Access to Information Act. Faced with the FBI refusal to respond to its requests, the organization has initiated legal action.

“The Ministry of Justice must respond to public transparency requests and publish Epstein files under the Access to Information Act,” said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.

In the meantime, Kash Patel and Dan Bongino continue to defend themselves to participate in a camouflage.

“Do you think that myself, Bongino and others would participate in the concealment of information on the grotesque activities of Epstein?” “Asked the FBI boss during a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s Balado show. “The problem is that people have been coming to create fictions about what does not exist. »»

Coming from a man who flirted with Qanon, among other conspiracy movements, the declaration of Kash Patel did not miss a cheek. Certainly, she did not shelter him from the most conspiratorial criticisms than him.

“I do not know why Kash Patel and Bongino continue their suicide bombing tour of their credibility,” said Alex Jones during a recent intervention. “I certainly don’t think it’s Trump who tells them that. »»

The controversy seems to weigh on the morale of Dan Bongino.

“I abandoned everything for that,” he said in late May, tremolos in the voice, during another interview on Fox News. “I look at four walls all day in Washington, alone, divorced from my wife – not divorced, but separate. »»

New surveys

Bongino recently announced the opening of surveys likely to make supporters of the Maga movement and conspirators wait. The FBI thus re-examines several cases dating back to the Biden years, including the discovery of a sachet of cocaine at the White House in 2023 and the leak in 2022 of the judgment Dobbs on abortion.

But Elon Musk unexpectedly relaunched the interest in Epstein files by affirming during his recent quarrel with Donald Trump that his name was there. And the Democrats began to claim the publication of all the files of the president’s former friend.

“Any attempt to prevent the publication of EPSTEIN files to protect the president of the truth and the obligation to account for a deepened examination on the part of the Congress and the Ministry of Justice,” wrote Democratic representatives Stephen Lynch and Robert Garcia in a letter addressed to the General Prosecutor of the United States, Pam Bondi, and Kash Patel.

Do Democrats really suspect the “deep state” to protect Donald Trump? It would really be the world upside down.
