US and Russian officials met in Riyadh today, Tuesday, to hold the most important talks so far between the two sides on ending the Moscow war in Ukraine.
The two sides are expected to discuss ways to end the conflict in Ukraine and reform US -Russian relations, and the talks can pave the way for a summit between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Ukraine says it is not possible to reach a peace agreement on its behalf in the talks that Kiev was not invited to participate.

Russia said Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with senior US officials, including Foreign Minister Marco Rubio on Tuesday, and the talks are scheduled to focus on ending the Ukraine war and reforming Russian -American relations.
Before the start of the talks in Saudi Arabia, the head of the Russian sovereign wealth fund, Kirill Dmitriev, described Trump on Tuesday as a halal problems.

The talks come after a meeting of European leaders in Paris on Monday at an emergency summit to agree on a unified strategy after they were surprised to push Trump towards immediate talks on Ukraine after a phone call between him and Putin last week.
