This time, Israel’s missiles bounced back. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced that its mujahideen had destroyed 5 Israeli tanks in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip using two Israeli missiles that did not explode.

Al-Qassam explained in a statement issued today, Saturday, that the two missiles each weighed a ton and were launched by the occupation towards the homes of safe citizens in Gaza, but they did not explode. Its fighters planted the two missiles on the path of advancing occupation vehicles in the Jabalia al-Balad area, and as soon as the vehicles arrived, they were detonated.

It confirmed that the operation resulted in the destruction of 5 tanks and the killing and wounding of all its personnel.

Since last October 7, Israeli forces have been waging an intense air and ground war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 20,000 – most of them women and children – and the injury of more than 53,000, in addition to massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, according to the authorities. sector and the United Nations.

According to Anatolia News Agency, the Israeli army has targeted thousands of rockets throughout the Gaza Strip since the beginning of its war on October 7, but some of them did not explode due to a technical defect in most cases, according to Palestinian security sources.

The agency adds that the Palestinian resistance usually uses the explosive materials in these missiles to manufacture explosive devices and explosive missile warheads, especially since they contain large quantities of explosives that often exceed a ton per missile.
