An 11-month-old boy died after being hit by an accidental gunshot by a toddler Monday in San Antonio, Texas, reports several American media.
Three children, aged 3 years, 2 years and 11 months, were in the back of a parked vehicle, with a woman sitting in the front. One of the two toddlers then allegedly got his hands on a firearm that was in the trunk. The young child reportedly shot the baby in the head. The latter was already dead when help arrived.
Local police do not yet know how the weapon was stored. The connection between the woman in the car and the three children has not been confirmed.
The name of the deceased baby has, however, been revealed: it is Khamari Khols Lang, the youngest of a family of six children who had recently moved to San Antonio.
The baby’s aunt, who created a crowdfunding campaign on the GoFundMe platform, has already raised more than 3,500 US dollars.
