Three people were killed in a shooting Saturday in Mississippi after two men opened fire on fans celebrating a victory for a local school football team.
According to WJTV, the tragedy occurred around midnight less than ten kilometers from the city of Lexington. Two victims were 19 years old and another was 25 years old. In addition, there are at least five injured people who were airlifted to hospital.
The sheriff said authorities were searching for the suspects with the help of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
ABC News reported that 200 to 300 people were at the scene of the tragedy, as they wanted to celebrate the victory of a football team.
“To tell you the truth, it was chaos,” Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said. “As soon as there was shooting, people were running everywhere.”
