A 32-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting that broke out late Monday afternoon in a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York.
New York police were alerted shortly before 6 p.m. to gunshots heard near a public housing building on Dekalb Avenue, the New York Post reported.
The 32-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, the New York Police Department (NYPD) told local media.
Two other men aged 26 and 33 were hit by firearm projectiles in the abdomen, shoulder and torso, but their vital prognosis is not engaged.
For the moment, no suspect has been arrested in the case and the investigation is still ongoing, said the police force, without dwelling on the causes and circumstances of this event.
The crime scene was protected by a security perimeter to allow NYPD investigators to carry out their analysis and try to shed light on this shooting.
