Justin Timberlake gave a VIP performance at the grand opening of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, but accidentally revealed he was sleeping at a competitor’s house in an Instagram post after the show.
Despite his performance at the Fontainebleau, Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, preferred to stay at the Wynn, fueling the flame of the budding rivalry between these two Las Vegas hotels.
This choice was revealed by a photo that Timberlake shared on social networks: it shows the couple returning to their hotel room at the Wynn, where the carpet does not reflect the glamorous style of the Fontainebleau.
Wynn took the photo in a post on his social networks, adding in the description: “Where everyone ends up #OnlyatWynn”.
The publication has since been removed from the networks, according to American media TMZ.
The relationship between these two luxury resorts is not without tensions, as evidenced by a previous episode where the Wynn considered legal action against the Fontainebleau for employee embezzlement. Although the threat was never followed by a lawsuit, competitive dynamics remained behind the scenes.
The singer pocketed nearly $6 million for his performance in front of an audience of stars, such as singer Cher and Kim Kardashian. It was one of his first shows in four years.
