After losing their son in a bus accident caused by a Haitian immigrant, parents in Springfield, USA, have asked Donald Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, to stop talking about their child’s death in order to gain points in the presidential race.

Nathan Clark said Tuesday that the two men used his son’s name and the reason for his death to gain political advantage, ABC News reported.
Little Aiden was killed in 2023 when a van collided with his school bus. The driver, Hemanio Joseph, had temporary protected status in the United States.
He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and vehicular homicide and is currently serving a sentence of nine to 13 years in prison.
“My son was not murdered,” Clark said. “He was accidentally killed by an immigrant from Haiti.”
He said if his child had been killed by a white man, the situation would have been different. It would not have been so much discussed by the Republican Party.
The father is demanding an apology from JD Vance and Donald Trump, as well as from Republican Senate candidate in Ohio Bernie Moreno and Texas House Representative Chip Roy for their comments.
“They can spew all the hate they want about illegal immigrants, the border crisis, and even false claims about pets… However, they are not allowed and have never been allowed to mention Aiden Clark of Springfield, Ohio,” Clark said.
City Manager Bryan Heck also denounced the misinformation being spread on social media and in the political arena.
Mr. Vance had claimed Tuesday that Haitian immigrants were eating Springfield citizens’ pets in a post in X, but later admitted that the “report could be false.”
Let us recall that Donald Trump himself mentioned the rumors during the presidential debate on September 10.
Local authorities confirmed to several US media outlets that they have found no evidence that illegal migrants are stealing dogs and cats to eat them.
