A Manhattan judge found bullet holes in her apartment bedroom, the court said. New York Post.

Valentina Morales noticed holes caused by projectile impacts above and in her bed on July 31. The magistrate was not at home at the time of the incident.

She allegedly deliberately failed to report the incident to the police. Judge Morales instead contacted the Office of Court Administration, which oversees judges. The administrative body then contacted the prosecutor.

“We don’t like him”

A police source told the Big Apple daily that they were not surprised by the magistrate’s decision.

“She didn’t call the cops because we don’t like her, because she lets criminals go,” said a longtime New York City Police Department detective. “She called the district attorney.”

Investigators from Bragg’s office then reportedly met with John Moore, a neighbor who lives in the apartment above the judge’s. Moore was convicted of drug trafficking in 1987.

He reportedly admitted to investigators that he accidentally fired the gun into his bedroom floor. The 59-year-old allegedly threw the gun into the Hudson River, prosecutors said. At the 59-year-old’s apartment, authorities found several weapons, including 12 stun guns and a sawed-off shotgun.

John Moore was charged with weapons possession and reckless endangerment. He remains in custody. The accused will return to court on September 15.
