Two people have died after a massive explosion at a home northeast of Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
Firefighters were called to the scene of a gas leak Sunday morning, CNN reports.

While they were on their way to the scene, the leak turned into an explosion, destroying the entire house.
An employee of an electricity and gas company and the owner of the residence, a 73-year-old man, died as a result of the incident.
A woman who was in the neighbouring residence was injured in the incident, but her life is not in danger.

Footage captured by CNN shows the area completely decimated by the explosion, with debris strewn across the ground where the house once stood.

Authorities still do not know whether the explosion was intentional or accidental.
