Morocco’s annual inflation rate, measured by the consumer price index, rose to 1.8% in June from 0.4% in May, the country’s High Commission for Planning said Monday.
Food prices, the main driver of inflation, rose 1.7% year-on-year, while non-food inflation increased 1.9%.
Core inflation, which excludes more volatile items, rose 0.3% on a monthly basis and 2.4% on an annual basis.
