A 60-year-old woman died after drowning off the coast of Panama City Beach, Florida, on Sunday, bringing the death toll to five in the span of four days.
St. Louis native Debbie Szymanski was enjoying the nice weather with her Sunshine State family before falling victim to dangerous currents, the “New York Post” reported Wednesday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene to provide assistance to the victim, who was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The death of the sixty-year-old comes after the tragic death of three men on Friday, when a teenager was sucked by the force of the current in the waters of the Gulf.
The three adults, aged 24 and 25, attempted to take a dip in the ocean before being caught in a current, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office said.
The three victims were found by emergency services who took them out of the water and transported them to hospital where doctors could do nothing to save them.
