Citizens in New York City were left with quite a scare as an individual threw a wooden chair and other objects from the top of a multi-story building in broad daylight on Tuesday.
The unusual scene was filmed by a passerby and shared numerous times on social networks.
It’s on the corner of the 46e East Street and 5e avenue in Manhattan that the frightening event took place, according to information from the Daily Mail.
The video first shows a wooden chair falling from the top of the building before crashing into the street.
A person can be seen at the top of the building with their arms in the air screaming.
The individual disappears for a moment before reappearing with what appears to be a plank of wood which he throws once again towards the street.
The person possibly in crisis continues to shout to the people below the building and throws another plank of wood as well as a difficult to identify object which crashes violently to the ground.
Fortunately, no people were injured during the incident, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) assured the American media, but passers-by could have suffered significant injuries if they had not been attentive given the violence with which some of the objects crashed into the street.
The New York police department claims to have opened an investigation to shed light on this event, but has still not made any arrests, according to the latest information from the Daily Mail.
