A man wanted by the police since Friday, for the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a New York park, was found brutalized, tied and handed over to the police by a group of citizens, reports the New York Post.

Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, the man for whom the New York City Police Department (NYPD) had offered a reward of US$10,000 (approximately $13,700 Canadian) if captured, was caught by several individuals during the night from Monday to Tuesday, in the borough of Queens.
In an amateur video filmed by one of the citizens, we can see the alleged attacker crouching on the ground while several people shout at him and call him a “rapist”.
The suspect tried to hide under a parked car, but was never able to escape the vigilance of the angry crowd.
“He’s hiding under the car because someone broke his g*****! Kick his ass,” a woman can be heard shouting.
One of the members of the group claims to have recognized the individual on the wanted notices issued by the police. He knew that he regularly went to a business on 108th Street, very close to the park where the 13-year-old was attacked.
“I waited for him. I waited all day for him to come and he came during the night,” he said.
The citizen claims to have waited for the alleged attacker to leave the business, then, with the help of other people, to have dragged him to the ground.
Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi allegedly tried to defend himself and flee, but had to resign himself to asking the crowd to stop beating him.
Eventually, the citizens tied him up with a belt and called the police so that officers could come and arrest him.
