A kiteboarder showed his ingenuity when he found himself stranded on a remote beach in California: he used rocks to write the word “HELP”.

According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE CZU) Santa Cruz Unit, the man washed ashore off a beach south of Davenport Landing.

The latter would then have used rocks to spell the word “HELP” (help in English). “He was spotted by a private helicopter which then called for help,” CAL FIRE CZU said on the social network X.

The surfer did not need medical attention, only help from the beach. @santacruz_fire also took part in this rescue.

The skateboarder was rescued by CAL FIRE CZU responders and the Santa Cruz firefighters. “The surfer did not need medical attention, only help from the beach,” it was also clarified.
