A new video of US President Joe Biden, taken out of context during the commemorations surrounding the 80e anniversary of the Normandy landings in France, was widely disseminated by his opponents on social networks in order to attack his cognitive abilities in view of the presidential election.

We can see the octogenarian politician bending over, as if trying to sit on an invisible chair.
“It’s really disturbing. President Biden tries to find an invisible chair to sit on. It’s sad and embarrassing for all those who came to pay tribute to the courageous men who died to protect our nation from tyrannical governments,” says a user on the social network X.
However, if we rely on the images captured before the video, we can see a chair located behind the American president. In the sequence that follows the excerpt that went viral, we can also see Joe Biden sitting down after leaning over for a few seconds.
