The atmosphere was cut with a knife in the crowd which gathered Thursday afternoon in front of the Manhattan court where a jury pronounced Donald Trump’s guilty verdict.

“The square was divided in two, between supporters of Donald Trump and those who had come to celebrate the possibility of a guilty verdict,” illustrated Philip Crowther, an international correspondent affiliated with the Associated Press.
The latter, who was one of the hundred journalists present in the sector to cover the outcome of this trial, admitted to the program Contextes having learned the nature of this historic judgment through the cries of joy of the opponents of the former president.

Despite the strong emotions, the public remained fairly calm, illustrated Mr. Crowther, who noted no “signs of violence”.
Supporters of Donald Trump accuse the jury of having been biased in its judgment since the state of New York, particularly the Manhattan sector, voted more than 90% for Joe Biden during the last presidential election.
“We are in a city that is largely Democratic. “It shouldn’t have any influence on the verdict, but it will give Donald Trump a lot of reason to criticize the justice system here in New York State,” the journalist explained.
