Former US President Donald Trump’s Boeing 757 crashed into another plane at West Palm Beach International Airport in Florida on Sunday.
The American Civil Aviation Agency (FAA), which opened an investigation, indicated that the aircraft had struck a parked business jet without specifying that the Boeing 757 belongs to Mr. Trump.
The Republican candidate hosted a campaign rally Saturday in Wildwood, New Jersey, before boarding the plane that caused the incident around 1:20 a.m. Sunday at West Palm Beach airport, Reuters reported Wednesday.
Mr. Trump has a habit of traveling by plane to host his campaign rallies, to the point that during a rally in Ohio last March, a voice announced: “Trump Force One, you have authority to land .”
The Boeing 757 built in 1991 was purchased in 2010 for an amount of US$100 million by the former American president who decided to heavily personalize the aircraft, notably adding a conference room and an entertainment system.
