The American Bloomberg Agency reported, citing Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, that the Palestinian Authority is working with American officials on a plan to manage the Gaza Strip after the end of the war.

Shtayyeh said – from his headquarters in Ramallah in an interview with Bloomberg yesterday, Thursday – that the preferred outcome of the conflict is for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which currently runs the Gaza Strip, to become a junior partner of the Palestine Liberation Organization, helping to establish a new independent state that includes the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem. Eastern.

Shtayyeh said that there will be room for talks if Hamas is ready to reach an agreement and accept the political approach of the Palestine Liberation Organization, indicating that the Palestinians should not be divided, and that Israel’s goal of completely eliminating Hamas is unrealistic.

The White House said last Wednesday that Phil Gordon, the US Vice President’s National Security Advisor, discussed with Palestinian officials in Ramallah the “revitalization” of the Palestinian Authority.

He stressed that the Palestinian Authority, which is revitalized, must be able to govern the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

He stressed the need to strengthen the Palestinian Authority’s security forces to eventually assume responsibilities in Gaza, according to the White House.

In a related context, the British newspaper The Times said that a British military team is working in the West Bank to prepare the Palestinian Authority to take over the administration of the Gaza Strip.

Israel pledged to eliminate Hamas after it carried out an attack on Israeli towns on October 7, which led to the death of 1,200 and the detention and capture of about 240, according to Israeli statistics.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip says that more than 17,170 Palestinians have been martyred and about 46,000 have been injured since Israel began its bombing of the Gaza Strip following the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, which came in response to the occupation’s practices against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.
