An Air Canada Boeing 737 found itself having to make an emergency landing in Boise, the capital of Idaho, due to a light that came on in the cockpit of the aircraft on Tuesday.
Flight 737, which relayed Mexico to Vancouver, had to land in the morning a little less than an hour before reaching its destination.
The airline told local CBC that it decided to land in Boise because of a warning light, which turned out to be related to a problem with the baggage hold.
None of the 122 passengers and six crew members were injured.
For its part, the Boise airport indicated that its staff and customs services coordinated to offer their services to passengers during their unscheduled visit to the United States. The incident did not harm airport operations, it was added.
The passengers were finally able to leave during the evening and were scheduled to land in Vancouver around 6:30 p.m. local time.
