An Ohio high school teacher has reportedly been suspended from her duties and now faces losing her job for using two sick days last February to go to a concert in Tennessee.
“During her predisciplinary meeting, she refused to answer questions regarding her whereabouts or the details of her alleged need for sick leave,” the school board, led by interim Superintendent Elizabeth Lolli, reportedly complained. according to New York Post Friday.
On Tuesday, the school board reportedly voted unanimously to begin firing English teacher Eileen Washburn of Lakota West High School in Ohio for allegedly “falsifying sick leave” in February. last to go to a show in Nashville, Tennessee, according to the American media.
However, the teacher would have confided her intention to colleagues, when she would have taken the two days off under the pretext of being sick at home.
