It’s official since Monday, Donald Trump’s first criminal trial will begin on April 15. It concerns this story of fraudulent payment to pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels.

While we were rather waiting for the trials concerning the interference in the election in Georgia, or the one highlighting the alleged links of Donald Trump with the attackers of the Capitol, it is rather this old story of extramarital relationship which will first make the headlines.

Pornographic actress, feminist and victim

Not only will the media be digging into the smallest details of a trial that, if polls are anything to go by, could hurt Trump’s chances of winning over independent voters, but Stormy Daniels could be called to testify.

The actress is an intelligent, resourceful and articulate woman who has demonstrated time and time again that she can take on the media and journalists. She could be credible and formidable.

As the trial begins soon, Stormy Daniels is getting a documentary about her life. You can already guess that his relationship with Trump occupies a special place there.

The documentary allows Daniels to tell her side of the story, but she presents some aspects of it in a new light. The sexual relationship with the reality TV star, first presented as consensual, is now presented as an assault.

The story and the tone used are very similar to what we find in the testimonies of victims of assault and have a feminist character.

To those who believe that she benefited financially from the recovery of this adventure, she reminds that it was her former lawyer, Michael Avenatti, who is now languishing behind bars, who picked up everything.

I cannot say whether those who watch the documentary will find Stormy Daniels convincing, but the combination of the trial and the documentary guarantee that voters will not be able to forget this saga.

Salty bills and prayer

Just as Bill Clinton suddenly turned to his pastor to confess to a sexual addiction problem after the scandal that followed his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, it seems that Donald Trump is animated by a new religious fervor.

While he solicits donations from his supporters and empties the coffers of the Republican Party to pay his lawyers, Donald Trump does not shy away from any source of income.

After launching his shoe brand, he now wants to restore the greatness of prayer (We must make America pray again)! For $60, you get the “God Bless America Bible” as well as copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Not only has Trump never demonstrated minimal knowledge of all these documents, but recognize that it is rather comical that this new source of funding arises while Stormy Daniels is resurfacing. Only in America! Only in the United States!
