Three people were shot dead in two shootings that broke out 20 minutes apart on Sunday evening in New York, United States.
The first shooting occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. in Harlem when an 18-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were shot, the New York Post reported.
The young woman Ashley Ballard and Harry Mendoza who were hit in the head were rushed to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
Around 7:45 p.m., shots were fired in a red-light district of Brooklyn where a 17-year-old teenager, Bryan Henriquez, was shot in the neck and torso.
The victim residing in Flatbush was transported to a hospital in Kings County where he was pronounced dead, according to local police, cited by the “New York Post”.
The local police who opened an investigation did not specify whether there was any link between the two shootings or whether the victims knew each other.
