A 26-year-old man was charged with smuggling himself onto a plane on Sunday after showing someone else’s boarding pass on his phone, which he took a photo of when the person wasn’t looking , CNN reported.

Wicliff Yves Fleurizard was therefore able to enter a Delta Airlines plane which linked Salt Lake City to Austin. He quickly went to the bathroom while the other passengers were finished boarding, according to a complaint filed.

“Once boarding was completed and just before the aircraft doors were closed, Fleurizard exited the front lavatory and went to the rear of the aircraft to enter the rear lavatory,” is- it indicated in court documents according to the media.

He came out when the plane had started to taxi on the runway. That’s when a flight attendant realized that the Texan did not have an assigned seat or a ticket or reservation in his name.

The plane then turned around to return to the boarding gate where authorities were waiting for the stowaway.

The latter claimed he was trying to get home after another flight he had booked on Southwest Airlines was overbooked and he was rescheduled on another flight scheduled later.
