Six people died in a helicopter crash Friday near New Baker, California.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the Mojave Desert, less than a mile from I-15.

San Bernardino County police confirmed Saturday that all six occupants of the plane died in the crash, but did not share their identities.

One of these six victims would be Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of a major Nigerian bank, report several American media including Bloomberg.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to this accident.
