Thieves who stole a Porsche sport utility vehicle in Bethesda, Maryland were forced to abandon it after a few minutes, being unable to drive it because its transmission was manual.
The owner of a restaurant told local media FOX5 that he was followed by a van for several minutes before three people got out of the vehicle and pointed a gun in his direction, asking him to leave his keys and wallet.
The man then took refuge in his restaurant, leaving the field open to the thieves, who however had great difficulty escaping with the vehicle, to the point where they abandoned it there and fled on board a their own vehicle, being unable to operate a manual transmission, Bethesda police report.
“I was in shock, but I’m better,” shares the victim of the attempted robbery, Myo Maung. I don’t feel safe, I would tell people to be careful.”
