Two hounds with apparently sharp teeth caused nearly $3,000 in damage to a car by chasing a cat that had taken refuge behind the engine on Sunday in Jacksonville, Florida.
“I thought maybe someone took a BB gun and shot at my car,” said Christie Barr, owner of the vehicle.
Mme Barr was sleeping peacefully at the time of the events that unfolded in his driveway around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to CNN.

It was not until the next morning that Mme Barr discovered the damage and notified the police, who then viewed surveillance cameras to surprise who was responsible.
In the video, we can first see the cat calmly installed near the car. He is then seen jumping inside the vehicle. It’s the turn of the two dogs to arrive and attack the front bumper, the front mudguard and two tires.
If the little red cat can consider himself lucky to still be alive, the attacked vehicle suffered heavy damage and M’s insuranceme Barr is asking for nearly $3,000 for damages.

The police have not yet found the two animals on the run or their possible owner.
“If they can do that to metal on a car, they can tear a human apart,” warned M.me Barr.
