A 3-year-old girl was attacked by a black bear at a private campground south of Red Lodges, Montana, Sunday night.
The girl was attacked by the bear around 9:45 p.m. while she was inside a tent, Montana Fish, Wildfire and Parks spokeswoman Chrissy Webb said, according to NBC Montana.
She suffered injuries and was taken to hospital.
A black bear was captured and euthanized directly at the campsite after the incident, the agency said on Facebook.
Authorities will continue to search the site in case it is not the bear involved in the attack.
Montana Fish, Wildfire and Parks has urged the public to stay away from the area and secure any objects that might attract bears.
